10 Tips for a Great Story

Heute will ich in eigener Sache etwas Werbung betreiben und auf meine Autorenseite www.devikafernando.com verweisen. Ich schreibe nämlich nicht nur deutsche Web-Texte, sondern auch englische Bücher. In diesem Sinne gibt es hier 10 Tipps für eine gute Geschichte:

1) Believable characters / authentic protagonists

2) A setting that enhances or at least matches the story

3) Emotions, emotions, emotions

4) A happy ending (if it is a romance novel)

5) A logical story arch (with exposition, rising action, climax and resolution)

6) Consistency in style, tense and plot

7) Introducing everything and everyone important in the first third or even first chapter

8) Show AND tell (use descriptions and dialogue wisely)

9) Have a theme run through the book

10) Every good story needs a villain
